Why is this photo part of the site design?

In my opinion, the fellow in this shot is a magician, and he's showing you that there are no bunnies up his sleeves or buzzer rings on his fingers or whatever other tricks you might assume magicians employ.  In SURVIVAL OF THE FAIREST, Jake Story, the hero, is a stage magician in Vegas with an uncanny skill...in certain circumstances.  Our heroine also finds him uncannily attractive!  If you'd like to read a secret excerpt from the book that takes place during Jake's performance, click here.
